Dr. Ora-orn Poocharoen, the Director of Chiang Mai University School of Public Policy was in Bhutan to conduct training on Strategic Foresight for officials from the Department of Labor, Royal Bhutan Government. The topic of focus was Social Protection and Labour Standards. 

Thailand and Bhutan share similarities, such as having a Constitutional Monarchy system and being majority Buddhist. 

The School of Public Policy aims to establish intergovernmental connections in the South Asian region to further collaborate on solutions, empower public officials and civil society, and build public policy capacity.
