A training on ‘Social Protection in Globalised Economy’ for the Labour Officers of the Department of Labour, Ministry of Labour and Human Resources ended on high notes of satisfaction.
Conceptualised, organised and delivered by EduPlus Bhutan, the training highlighted understanding the international labour laws and practices, contextualised the global practices on social protection into national and local realities, and deliberated on social-emotional and human-centric aspects of policy planning.
The participants remarked that the training was conducted with a high degree of focus, depth and professionalism. While the external resource persons brought in the global perspectives on the learning agenda, the local resource persons dovetailed into practical and applicable strategies and approaches.
The training was seen as a critical component of the agency’s competency-based framework and is geared towards consolidating the Department’s functional dynamics to scale up organisational productivity.
